A Week of Scottish Heritage
Thursday, 1st July 2010:
A Robbie Burns Supper will be held in Muswellbrook on the evening of 2nd July, venue to be confirmed. This will celebrate the life and times of Scotland’s best-known and best-loved bard, Robbie Burns. This event, hosted by St Andrews Muswellbrook Royal Arch Chapter will, in format, form the traditional Burn’s Supper. The piping in of the haggis in a manner not normally seen is followed by a sumptuous meal. There will be singing, poetry and other items on the program. Bookings are essential as numbers are limited. Tartan Cancer Charity Golf Day. This is to be hosted by the Aberdeen Ladies Golf. This is a Canadian Foursome Ladies or Mixed Pairs. Tartan dress is optional but highly recommended to get into the spirit of the day. This event is sponsored by L’Oreal. Saturday Evening, 3rd July:
A traditional Ceilidh will be held at St Joseph’s High School, Aberdeen commencing at 6:30pm and will feature the band, Fiddle Tunes Band, live dance music, full Haggis presentation, pipe music, and the draw of our major raffle. Included in the ticket cost of $45/head will be a two-course meal and a light supper including tea and coffee provided by the Scone Scouts. BYO for ALL beverages.
