Sydney Scottish Heritage Week

24th June to 4th July

The first Sydney Scottish Heritage Week was held in 1981 to celebrate the unique contribution that Scots have made to Australia, from pioneer times to today. An initiative of the Scottish Australian Heritage Council, Sydney Scottish Heritage Week will bring the sound of bagpipes and the aroma of haggis to venues around Sydney.

The week’s program will include,

Wednesday 24th June - Bannockburn Dinner
Thursday 25th June - History Evening
Friday 26th June - Grand Tartan Ball
Saturday 27th June - Scottish Film Day
Sunday 28th June - Kirkin' O' the Tartan
Monday 29th June - Hosted Luncheon
Tuesday 30th June - Lachlan Macquarie Bicentennial Celebrations
Wednesday 1st July - Tartan Day
Thursday 2nd July - Cairn Ceremony, Mosman Park
Saturday 4th July - Aberdeen Highland Games
